The AAU Junior Olympic Games has set a goal to donate 10,000 pairs of socks to local shelters.
DES MOINES, Iowa (Jul 17, 2018) - The AAU Junior Olympic Games has set a goal to donate 10,000 pairs of socks to local shelters.
We are partnering with Mike Smith from 'Skate for Change' an organization dedicated to giving back to the community and helping the homeless by identifying urgent needs such as lack of food, shelter or education and affecting assistance to minmize thoese shortages.
Socks are one of the most needed items items for the honeless. Thanks to Catch Des Moines' corporate sponsor, Wells Fargo, there will be donation boxes throughout the event July 25 - August 4 where participants and fans can drop off their sock donations.
