Sang Cha, Director of NTA Taekwondo Center in Coppell, Texas says National Chairman Mike Friello.
Master Cha has been an integral player within the Program for several years now and for the past two years has served as a member of our Regional Coaching Staff. We have been after Master Cha to assume even a greater leadership within the Program for a long time. He has truly distinguished himself within the US Taekwondo Community in so many ways; as a business leader, as a man of the highest integrity, and of course through his coaching abilities.
Year after year Sang Cha has turned out some of the best Taekwondo athletes the US has to offer. Within our own Program, Master Cha is ranked #1 for having turned out the greatest number of athletes participating at the annual AAU Taekwondo Team Trials event in the past three years! Such a demonstration of not just quality but consistency in delivering that kind of quality is unparalleled.
Although we have developed a most successful Regional Training and Coaching Program over the past few years, we have purposely left an unfilled position among our National Coaching Staff ever since Master Patrice Remarck left to take on the position of National Head Coach with our NGB. With the growth of our International Teams and the invitation to travel with us that we extended to our cadet and junior B Teams last year, it was time to fill that vacancy. Master Cha was the overwhelming choice both statistically and emotionally. The entire National Staff is terribly excited to have Master Cha join their ranks.
Master Cha and NTA Taekwondo will serve as host for the January 2016 National Teams training session as we prepare for international travel to Hamburg, Germany in April where our Team will participate in the 2016 German Open—a G1 event.
