Congratulations to Saira Prasanth, this year’s female recipient of the 2016 Amateur Athletic Union Taekwondo Youth Leadership Award.
Meet Saira Prasanth who has become an accomplished 2nd Degree Black Belt, Taekwondo athlete & a beloved assistant instructor. Some of her interests besides Taekwondo include marching band, track & field, member of the literary and arts magazine club, pre-med club, & psychology club.
Saira’s competition record is astonishing having participated and won 16 gold medals at local AAU events in five years. Her accomplishments include winning three gold medals at three different AAU National Championships.
Being an Assistant Instructor, Saira has shown great leadership inside and outside of her school. Saira has distinguished herself to have been a straight "A" student with a unweighted 4.0231 High School GPA and 4.4649 weighted GPA. As a junior she is taking all AP & honors classes. She is also the secretary of the Equality Starts Now (gender equality club) as well as a member of the Students Against Violating the Environment club.
